Best Toys 2012 include Furby
Furby has been reinvented for the 21st century and is sure to be on many kids best toys 2013 lists. Clearly, after experiencing the new Furby first-hand, you’ll agree that this is not your sister’s Furby from about a decade ago! The new Furby is as interactive as ever and it sports many new interesting features. The new Furby also has a very likable personality. Kids will love this virtual pet because it behaves very life like. This is a great alternative to owning a real pet not to mention the cost savings. Furby sings, dances, and is so animated unlike anything we’ve seen before. The new Furby is so good that it could very well take the top honor of Toy of the Year.

The new Furbies have electronic eyes that are digitally animated and they also light up. The eyes help to convey different emotions to the owner or user. Furby even has eye lids like the original one. The eye lids open wide when Furby wakes up from its sleep. The mouth, eyes, ears, and body all are fully animated, bringing Furby alive like never before. Furbies can even communicate with one another in their own language. It usually sounds like a bunch of Furby gibberish. And apparently, Furbies are so smart that they can even learn English. The more you speak to your Furby (in English), the more it will begin speaking in English. Now that is some pretty advanced artificial intelligence if you ask me.

Supposedly, there is even an app that allows users to digitally feed their Furby by using touch controls on the iPad. The app should be available on the App Store in time for the release. The new Furby according to Hasbro is slightly larger than the original Furby. So far we know for certain that the new Furby will be available in a bright blue color. Initially, when the new Furby launches there will be about six different colors to choose from and by the holiday season there should be about 10 different colors to choose from. At the present moment, we don’t know the exact colors that will be available. We’re hoping to see a white one and a good variety of colors.

Like many other interactive toys, Furby has an array of sensors located on its head, front, back, and sides that can react to things such as tickling. This is a neat feature that helps to make Furby feel ever so real. Interestingly, Furby will even know when you are holding him upside down and it’ll make a comment about this situation. Furby even knows when you’re tossing him around.

Thankfully, unlike Tamagotchi, your Furby won’t die if you forget to feed it. But keep in mind that your Furby may become cranky without a meal. Remember, you’ll need to download the iPad app from the app store in order to feed him. If you don’t already own an iPad, then we’re not totally sure how you’ll feed your Furby but we expect there to be another means of feeding your Furby even if you don’t own an iPad. Maybe Hasbro may make an app for Android users as well.

The new 2012 Furby will be released this Fall 2012 for an estimated retail price of about $59.99. If you’ve never experienced a Furby toy, it’s the perfect time to discover what all the buzz is about surrounding Furby. Furby is a strong contender for Toy of the Year. This new Furby looks amazing and it’s fun to play with. It could very well be the toy that everyone goes crazy for this Christmas.
